     Our next event is our biannual show. Shimmy Sisters, Oasis Dancers, Middle Eastern Dance students and special guests will be performing Fall, 2019. Oasis Raks the Casbah Show begins at 7:00 pm. Contact Rita for details. Contact Rita if interested in booking family entertainment.      

Belly Dance Enthusiasts' Meetings

      Ongoing meetings are held at Oasis 1115 9th Ave N in north Fargo.
      Membership Dues are $45/month. Dues should be paid the beginning of each month

Hours: Beginners meet through Moorhead Community Education on Tuesdays at 6:30 in Probstfield Elementary. A relaxed paced of Intermediates are meeting at 6:00 PM on Wednesdays. Our Intermediate Plus class meets 5:30 on Mondays at 5:30. A beyond Beginners class meets at 5:30 and at 7:00 PM Thursdays (the 7:00 class is full. Meetings last for an hour and a half.

      Our Shimmy Sister group and Oasis Dance group meet at 7:00 p.m. on Mondays.

      We are proud to announce that we have a student performance group at this time. Oasis dancers are students through Oasis dance club who want more opportunities to perform.

Classes at Moorhead Community Education

      We teach classes through Moorhead Community Education in the Fall, Winter and Spring. Beginner class is on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. at Probstfield. Classes are an hour and a half and run for eight weeks. Cost is approximately $69 with a discount for Moorhead residents. See their brochure for more details.


      Past events include: Biennial Showcase (2006, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017); Grand Cities Artfest (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012); Hafla in September of 2008; Potato Days in Barnsville (2008, 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017); A Woman's Perspective (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012); Pangea (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009); annual meeting of the Lake Agassiz Arts Council in June 2007; Riverfest (2006, 2007, 2008).
      We have been busy going to workshops in Minneapolis, Chicago, and Las Vegas and are excited to have learned new dance steps, styles, and choreography.
